federalist society
The Federalist Society is a Far-Right political party in Imperial Esplanade, and is among the "Big Three" of Esplanadian political parties. The Federalist Society is the oldest political party and it focuses on restricting the growth and intrusion of government into the lives of the citizenship. Economically, the Federalist Society pursues a greater laissez-faire-type environment in which laws that are deemed to be "overly aggressive" in protecting the environment as well as labor are repealed. While unions are largely non-existent in Imperial Esplanade, the Federalist Society wishes to ensure that workers are protected through the law without the unnecessary bureaucratic red tape that unions tend to bring. Socially, the Federalist Society pursues a "hand's off" approach in which government interference in the lives of individuals are kept at a low. The Federalists are in favor of Abortion Rights, Recreational Drug Rights, and Gun Rights.
The Federalists staunchly oppose Affirmative Action, citing that it grants an unfair advantage toward population minorities. The Federalists also staunchly oppose any and all unnecessary international interference, being opponents of just about every war that the Grand Republic or Imperial Esplanade has ever fought throughout history. The Federalists prefer a more diplomatic approach to international conflicts and deep cuts to the Esplanadian military. The Federalist Society also opposes LGBT rights, believing that marriage should only occur between a man and a woman. The Federalists currently have 29% of the seats of the National Senate.
